Banana Bread
(This recipe is based off of the one on this website, all credit for the recipe goes to Elise Bauer. I couldn’t find my family’s usual recipe when I was creating the pictures. )
Ingredients:
Super ripe bananas, peeled
1 large egg
1 1/2 cups of flour
3/4 cup of sugar
1/3 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 pinch of salt
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C) and butter a loaf pan
In a mixing bowl, mash ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Add melted butter.
Add the rest of the ingredients in this order, mixing well: baking soda, salt, sugar, egg and flour.
Pour batter into the loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes to an hour at 350 F (175 C) or until you can poke a butter knife into the center and it comes out clean (no goo or crumbs).
Remove it from the oven, let it cool and enjoy!
This is always a hit with any pot luck and the reason I will let bananas turn to mush. Great for snacks, lunches, breakfast or any other time. Also you can add nuts or my favorite, chocolate chips. Enjoy!
