Ingredients

1 1/2 cups of flour

1 Tablespoon of baking powder

1 Tablespoon of Sugar

1 1/4 cups of milk

1 egg

1 flavorful apple

nutmeg and cinnamon to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat griddle so it is hot enough to steam angrily when splashing water on it.

  2. In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together

  3. Add the milk and the egg

  4. Mix them until the batter is thick enough to leave an indent for a minute if you stir it with your fork

  5. Cut the apple into thin slices

  6. Add cinnamon and nutmeg to bowl and mix in

  7. Using a cup, pour batter onto griddle and put apple slices onto pancakes

  8. Repeat step 7 until all batter is used up. Extra slices, if any, are good for snacking or garnish.

This is a recipe I’ve modified over the years, based on a recipe my boyfriend had in his collection. A friend once proposed to me after a variation I made that had Reeses’ peanut butter cups inside. Never again be forced to have bad pancakes from a box!
